Katherine Gilchrist is 28 years old and is the University Museum's Textiles and Materials expert and a top authority in the field of Restoration and Preservation.  She works alone most of the day and spends most of her free time alone as well.  By nature she is an empathetic, nurturing and compassionate person.  However, she has never gotten close enough to anyone for them to see this side of her. Katherine is painfully shy and easily embarrassed which makes it quite difficult for her to ever meet anyone.  Although she longs to be around others, she devotes most of her affection toward her house plants and pet fish.
